Packaging — sack intake

Bag dumping stations
with dust extraction.

Sacks will always be part of powder handling. The station makes the difference between contained intake and a dusty room.

In brief

A bag dumping station is a contained workstation for emptying sacks into a process: a screened opening with extraction drawing dust away from the operator, a hopper below, and often an integral compactor for empty bags. TLG builds stations in stainless with the take-away feeder integrated.

In detail

How it works.

The extraction face velocity across the opening is the real specification — enough draw to capture the dust plume a tipped sack releases, without lifting product out of the hopper. Screens stop stitching and foreign objects; compactors keep the empty-bag pile from becoming its own dust source.

Containment
Extraction hood sized to opening face velocity
Screening
Grate screening at the tip point
Options
Empty-bag compactor chute, glove access
Take-away
Flexible screw, vacuum or rotary valve integration
